NRS Yak Yak Boat Cart – The Yak Yak Boat Cart by NRS is a lightweight little powerhouse that will help save your back. With sand-conquering tires and element resistant materials, this baby will have you out on the water in no time. Rubber wraps around the heavy-duty plastic wheel for a smooth ride on hard surfaces, while 3 inch wide rims on the 9 inch diameter wheels give good support in soft surfaces. The bearing-less, smooth-rolling wheels are easily removed, allowing the compact Yak Yak to slip into most kayak hatches, and the lightweight, anodized aluminum frame carries up to a 150 pound boat. Cushioning foam pads protect the hull of your boat, while the two NRS Loop Straps, with buckle bumpers, are super easy to use and securely anchor your boat to the cart. Corrosion-resistant hardware offers dependable durability, and the kickstand holds the cart steady while you're loading, then flips up out of the way when you're moving. When you just don't have the desire to carry your water craft, let the NRS Yak Yak Boat Cart haul your boat to the water.

Customer Reviews

Some good, mostly not great.

By Dan Walker
There are some things I like about this cart. It is light and I like the wheel attachment. It stows away nicely in my front hatch. I have had some problems with the cart. All of the straps have torn or worn through. I have replaced them all. The placement of the attachment strap was awkward. Some of the wheel tread has fallen off too. I will have to send that back for replacement. I use it almost every weekend, but rarely over rugged terrain. The wheels do not work in loose sand, which is not an big issue for me.

Teriffic cart!

Love this cart! I originally purchased it to assist in maneuvering this under my deck for storage, which is a lot of work for 2 people and a major PITA by myself. Took it on a group trip this weekend where we had to portage kayaks loaded with camping gear up a hill, down a road, and then down another long hill. It was a lot of work for 2 people to carry one boat, but I strapped this on and it was a breeze to do by myself. We then used the cart to get everyone else moved and it saved us a lot of time and energy. There was room to pack it in my boat even with all of my camping gear, and I like the fact that it doesn’t have inflatable tires. Absolutely 5 stars so far.

Be prepared to modify

The centers trap broke on the 2nd use. Replaced it with woven paracord and it has worked fine ever since. Still have no idea what kayak’s dry hatch is large enough to fit these wheels.
