SCIENCE FRICTION

By Mr. Gj Leah
When I first got this shoe I got a pair the same size as my previous brand, Scarpa and found that I couldn’t get my foot in the shoe without my toes going numb and my arch aching. I initially thought that maybe they just don’t fit my feet. I decided i’d get a half size up and see if it helped much and i’m so glad i did.

A GREAT shoe!

These shoes are one of the best aggressive shoes from Mad Rock! I’ve climbed in the various Demon models and these are above and beyond. They fit amazing and are suprisingly comfortable for such an aggressive performance shoe. I use these for sport and bouldering indoors and outdoors and they’ve performed wonderfully. The fit runs small from what I found. I usually wear a 5.5 in most Mad Rock models and these I wear a 6.

High performance, comfortable, sensitive shoe with an amazing heel! All around perfect.

I decided to try a different pair of shoes after owning LaSportiva Solutions for 3 years in a row. Nothing wrong with the solutions but I felt I could have a pair of shoes with more sensitivity to the rock. The Redline’s did it for me, like the solutions they fit perfectly. The glove-like tongue and the toe box make them feel super aggressive yet comfortable. The much improved heel, is thin reminiscing that of the FiveTen Dragons yet solid and sturdy. If you are looking to spend for the upmost quality and high performance shoe you wont regret getting a pair of the Redline. And although it might not be of most importance I have to add the shoes look amazing, Madrock’s design team really put some class and thought into the shoe. Happy Climbing to everyone! =)

Another hit from MR

I got hooked on Mad Rock with the Sharks, and was super psyched to try Obe’s new design. The Redlines are nuts! They’re definitely a specific design, but they’re my go to now for anything overhang. The toe is super aggressive, and just like the Sharks, they’re the only shoe I’ve ever worn that fit like a glove, and somehow as aggressive as these shoes are, they still feel super plush. I wear the same size as the sharks and same size as street.

I really love these shoes with 1 exception

I really love these shoes with 1 exception. Who makes their ultra aggressive shoes with laces? Theses are the kind of shoes that you want to put on for a problem or 2, then take off. Lacing makes this inconvenient. Otherwise – Epic shoes!
