The Scarpa Force X rock climbing shoe is sensitive and edgy, but with comfort promoting features that will allow you to enjoy climbing all day. The suede leather upper molds to the foot, and there is lining, in the back half of the heel pocket along with padded mesh tongue, for comfort. The Force X performs reliably on edges, in cracks, yet remains sensitive on slabs. The V-tension randing maintains the shoe's shape for high-end power transfer, but has a more comfortable tension. The Vibram XS Edge outsole balances grip with durable longevity.

I love the fit of these shoes, they are not too aggressive and there is plenty of rubber all around for good heel and toe hooks when you need it. The velcro makes it easy to slip these on and off quickly in between sends, and ensures you get a good snug fit every time. My only complaint with my pair is that the stitching that holds the grey and the pink leather together started to come undone immediately. The way the shoe is constructed makes this OK since the velcro closures run parallel and not pulling the seam apart, but it is still annoying to have to cinch them down with this in mind every time I put on my shoes.
Ah! Just got these today and about to take it for a test at my gym, but it definitely is promising. I wear 6.5 street shoes and I got a 38.5 and it fits snug without my toes being crushed. I previously ordered the scarpa helix I believe in the same size and those are agressive and my toes were so crushed and curled I had to return them. These I heard stretch to fit even better. The padding is very comfortable. Highly recommend for climbers looking for comfort! So psyched I don’t have to wear rentals anymore!
I was looking for my second pair of climbing shoes. I tried on some well known brands and found that all of them cut up into my ankle bone, making standing very uncomfortable, let alone climbing. These have been the only pair I’ve found so far that cushion around the ankle bone nicely without digging into them. I wear a size 7 normal shoes, and ordered a size 37.5 with these. They fit great, snug without being super uncomfortable. I tried size 37 too but they were too tight. I’ve been climbing in these about a month, so far so good.
Love these shoes! This is my second pair, the first one lasted three years and finally the toes are peeking through. Great shoes, they stretch slightly, but are true to size. I bought 39 (7.5) which is a full size smaller than my street shoes. Highly recommend for the intermediate to advanced climbers; wore these for both indoor and outdoor climbs.
These are a good all-around shoe. They smear well and give you excellent feeling with the wall. I have worn them bouldering, top roping, and sport climbing and haven’t found any major issues with them. I ordered my street size in these shoes, and have a little bunching in my toes. This isn’t anything extreme for a climbing shoe, just not a personal preference. Although these are a great all-around shoe, I wouldn’t wear them on an all-day climb or a multi-pitch. They’re not particularly comfortable to just stand around in.
Excellent shoe! I am new to climbing, and these are my first *new* pair. I wear a size 7 in street shoe, and I ordered a 6.5. They fit perfectly snug, without hitting any pressure points, which is something I had problems with in previous shoes. They do stretch slightly in all of the tighter spots, making it shape to your foot. I love them.
Scarpa makes a comfortable and technical climbing shoe. I use this for the indoor gym.
Looks like a great shoe but I ordered my street shoe size and it was way too small. I would recommend going a size up.
